Elizabeth A. Seaver, age 90
Retired Baker for Northeast Utilities


TEWKSBURY: Elizabeth A. (Lawrie) (Ahern) Seaver, age 90, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 2 years, previously of Manchester, CT, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury.
She was the wife of the late Merton E. Seaver and the late John P. Ahern.
Born in Topsfield on September 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Whannell) Lawrie.
Elizabeth was raised in Topsfield and Waltham and attended Waltham schools.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Baker for the North East Utilities Co. in Connecticut.
Elizabeth resided in Manchester, CT for 35 years and was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church until moving to Tewksbury in 2009.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting, needlepoint, reading and socializing with her family and friends.
Elizabeth's greatest joy was having her family all together especially during the holidays. In addition, she enjoyed the companionship of numerous pets throughout her life including most recently from her cat, Lilly and her dog, Fritz.
She is survived by her children, Janet E. Murphy of Tewksbury, Karen A. Brown and her husband Richard of Scarsdale, NY, David P. Ahern and his wife Susan of Mountain Ranch, CA and John P. Ahern and his wife Linda of Pelham, MA; also eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews including Robert Lawrie and his wife Arlene "Lovie" of Chicago, IL, several step-grandchildren including Merle Seaver and his wife Sylvia of Bristol, CT.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday, Oct. 8th, at 10 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. There are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the M.S.P.C.A., 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
