Mahoney,Walter Vincent “Teenie” 83 passed into eternal life peacefully surrounded by his familt on Monday October 3. He was born July 18,1928 to the late Elzie and Barbara Mahoney.Walt was the retired owner of the former Mahoney and Son Trailer Service. He enjoyed his life fully, from racing cars to raising and showing Quarter Horses, traveling in his RV and spending time with his family.His son Patrick Mahoney and daughter Lisa Mahoney preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Rita, his daughter Carla John), sister; Ruth Bawel (Rudy) and five grandchildren; Alex, Carrie, and Maggie Ducette, Jay and Caitlin Hogue. Walter will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His funeral Mass will be 11 am Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church 7724 Columbine Dr. Burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm to 8pm Thursday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice
