Mrs. Rosabelle J. “Rose” (Anctil) Doyle, of Taunton, died Sunday, October 2, in Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. “Snazzy” Doyle. She was born 91 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Leontine (Ouellette) Anctil. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Morton Hospital in Environmental Services for 8 years. She was previously employed at the New Process Twist Drill Company in Taunton for 42 years. Rose was a former member of the Colonial Estates Tenants Association, the Sodalite des Dames de Ste. Anne, and the former St. Jacques Church Womens Guild. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and traveling. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: a sister-in-law, Lillian Anctil of Falmouth; her nieces and nephews: Donna Fitzgerald of Taunton, Audrey Finger and her husband, Ronald of Milton, Fla., Joyce Anctil of Falmouth, Jayne Anctil of Cambridge, Elaine Olson and her husband, Clive of Taunton, Joseph Anctil and his wife, Meredith of Taunton, and Armand “Buzz” Anctil and his wife, Susan of Plantation, Fla. Rose was also the sister of the late Armand, Paul, Antonio, and Joseph Anctil, Adrienne Fitzgerald, and Blanche Duranleau.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will precede the funeral, Wednesday, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
