Frances Muller Cockran, age 69, of 197 Elizabeth Street, Danville, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born March 9, 1942 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Muller and Grace Strickland Muller. Mrs. Cockran worked as a custodian for the Danville Public Schools at Grove Park Elementary. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was predeceased by her husband, Danny Wayne Cockran, in October 2005.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Odum; one son, Danny Eugene Cockran; one sister: Betty Willhite; two grandchildren, Ashley Odum and Randall Odum; two great-grandchildren: Kailynne Goodman and Kylee Denning. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Robert Allen Muller.
Graveside funeral services officiated by Pastor Kurt Schull will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Schoolfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence, 197 Elizabeth Street.
