New Bedford, MA.- Vivian Bettencourt age 95 years died October 3rd at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Bettencourt. Survived by her son Michael A. Bettencourt of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and her daughter Rita Lassiter of Bristol, New Hampshire. She was also survived by 5 grandchildren Amy, Andrew, John, Catherine and Matthew and 3 great grandchildren Jacob, Charlette Vivian, and Willow.
Mrs. Bettencourt was a daughter of the late Rose and John Mendes. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since the age of 2. Vivian was a Cafeteria Manager at New Bedford Public Schools until she retired.
Mrs. Bettencourt’s visiting hours will be Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. from 12 to 2 P.M. with services to begin at 1:45 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery
