Mr. Paul F. Deegan, Jr., of Mansfield, died Saturday, October 1 in Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Eileen (Giddings) Deegan of Mansfield. He was born 43 years ago in Milton, the son of Richard and Karin (Tompkinson) Kantelis of Taunton, and Paul F. Deegan, Sr. of Raynham. He was educated in Mansfield, having graduated from Mansfield High School, and was also a graduate of the ITT Technical Institute in Rhode Island. Paul had been a Mansfield resident for most of his life. Prior to his illness, he had been employed by the Boston Carpenters Union for 11 years. He enjoyed football and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves: his beloved daughter, Tyler Deegan of Mansfield; 2 brothers: Neil Kantelis and his wife, Tara of Swansea, and David Kantelis and his wife, Elizabeth of Mansfield; 1 sister: Katherine Deegan of Fall River; his nieces and nephews: Kory, Kiehl and Kaylee Kantelis, Owen and Peighton Kantelis, and Kayla Scott.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at the V.F.W. Banquet Hall, 88 Chilson Avenue, Mansfield, on Sunday, October 23, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
