Mary M. (Cotter) Harrington, 79, of New Bedford died September 30, 2011 at Bay Path at Duxbury peacefully.
She was the wife of the late Donald J. Harrington.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Cecelia E. (Cowen) Cotter, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Harrington was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
She was formerly employed as a teacher with the New Bedford Public Schools for 34 years until her retirement.
Survivors include a son, Andrew Harrington and his wife Vicki of Plymouth; a daughter, Ellen Rossano and her husband Graham of Hingham; 2 brothers, Richard Cotter of Mattapoisett and Robert Cotter of Cotuit; a sister-in-law, Helen Cotter of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, Jamie Rossano, Sean Harrington, Trevor Harrington and Andrew Harrington; many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William Cotter and Leonard Cotter.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, October 5th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
