Edward R. Mercier, Sr., 83, of Salem, NH died Thurs., Sept. 29th at the Courville at Nashua.
Edward was born in Salisbury, MA the son of the late Amelia (Hamel) and Alphonse Mercier. He grew up in Lawrence, MA. Edward served in the US Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a self employed cabinet maker and co-owned Rushton & Mercier Woodworking Co. in Salem.
Edward was a member of the Salem Contractors Association and a former member of St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus in Salem and St. Patrick’s Church in Pelham. He enjoyed watching Westerns and loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn (Gamache) Mercier and his siblings Raymond, Yvette, Lorraine and Gladys.

Calling hours are Sun., Oct. 2nd from 3-7 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
The Funeral Mass is Monday at 10AM at St. Joseph Church in Salem. Burial is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
