Madalyn (Webber) Beston McGrath, of Hudson NH, formerly of Medford died Tuesday at Fairview Nursing Home, Hudson, NH. She was 93
Madalyn was born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Theresa (Doran) Webber. Raised in Charlestown and Medford, Madalyn was a longtime Medford resident, until moving to New Hampshire in her later years. A long-time employee of the City of Medford, she worked as secretary to the City Manager. Madalyn was a devout and spiritual woman who was involved and active at her parish of St. Joseph in many capacities throughout her life. As she lived in New Hampshire and wintered in Lake Worth, Florida, she had strong parish connections in those places. Madalyn was devoted to her family and friends. She had a generous and adventurous spirit, enjoying the natural beauty of the earth and will be missed by all who knew her.
The beloved wife of the late Bernie McGrath and Eugene L. Beston, she was a devoted mother to Elaine Nee and her husband Joseph of Hudson, NH, Larry Beston and his wife Micki of Clovis, CA, Richard C. Beston and his wife Shirley of Kennebunk, ME. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and was predeceased by her dear sister Doris Stapleton.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, October 1 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
