Michael DiGaetano, 63, of New Bedford died September 22, 2011 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital
He was the husband of Sandra M. (Duarte) DiGaetano.
Born in Boston, the son of Rose Marie (Nuzzo) DiGaetano of Winthrop and the late Michael DiGaetano, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; seven sons, Michael DiGaetano and his wife Carley of Fall River, Rocco DiGaetano and his wife Christine, Mikey DiGaetano and his companion Joslyn Ferro, Gino DiGaetano and his companion Lasheen Shawders, Vinnie DiGaetano and Dino DiGaetano, all of New Bedford, and Santino "Sonny" DiGaetano and his companion Alicia Snow of Everett; six daughters, Renee "Nay" Sylvestro and her companion Joe Pontes of Roxbury, Natalie Duarte and her companion Randall Pemberton of Chicago, and Desiree Duarte and her companion Rodney Hill, Rosalie Duarte and her companion Corey Johnson, Sandra DiGaetano and her companion Tyson Duarte and Anita DiGaetano and her companion Jason Coe, all of New Bedford; a brother, Ronnie DiGaetano of Winthrop; 2 sisters, Judy DiGaetano-Racow and her husband Steve and Rose Marie DiGaetano, all of Winthrop; many grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert DiGaetano.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 30th at 12 Noon in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His family will receive guests on Friday from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to his service. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
