Lennie Mae Dickey, age 84, died Monday, September 26, 2011 in Horn Lake, MS.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Drivers Flat Baptist Church with Bro. Hank Anderson and Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Burial will take place in the Drivers Flat Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS with Lonnie Hughes, David Hughes, Mike Chambers, Nathan Walker, Tim Telles and Jesse Dickey serving as pallbearers.
Lennie was born April 13, 1927 in Calhoun County, MS to the late Jesse E. and Ethel Shepheard Howell. She was a homemaker and loved to cook wild game. Lennie loved flowers, butterflies and angels. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she loved her family. Lennie was a member of River of Life Assembly of God Church in Sardis, MS.
She is survived by three daughters, Patsy Spencer (Clyde) of Sardis, MS, Charlene Jeans (Carnell) of Horn Lake, MS and Ethelylene Hughes (Lonnie) of Sardis, MS; two sisters, Emmie Faye Jenkins and Alma Lou Lovelady both of Water Valley, MS; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Talmadge Dickey; two sons, Larry Dickey and Garry Dickey; and two grandchildren, Terry Dickey and Johnnie Dickey.
