
David Scott Parrish, 43, of Big Horn Drive, Evington, and formerly of Danville, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Danville on September 30, 1967, he was the son of Roger E. Parrish and Judy Parker Parrish of 306 Brentwood Drive, Danville. David had lived his life in Danville, Lynchburg, Forest and Evington. He was a 1985 graduate of George Washington High School and was of the Baptist faith. He had worked for Tri Tech Laboratories, Inc. of Lynchburg. He had been in declining health since last February, but his death was unexpected.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by aunts, Pamela George and husband Connan, of Danville, JoAnn Hill and husband, Jerry, of Seaford, Va.; Cousins, Amy Roberts and children, of Danville, Christopher George and wife, Wendy, and children, of Danville, J. P. Hill and wife, Joni,and children of Yorktown, Va, and Kemp Parrish and family of Newport News, Va. He was predeceased by one brother, Adam Joseph Parrish, his paternal grandparents, Kemp and Oletha Parrish of Hampton, Va., and his maternal grandparents, Curtis W. Parker and Margaret Parker Terry of Danville.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Burial Park with the Rev. James Albert officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his parents at 306 Brentwood Drive, Danville. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Danville Area Humane Society, Danville.
