Willie M. “Bill” Hall, 74, of Tawzerville died Monday, September 26, 2011, at Agape Health and Rehab in Moultrie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Wayside Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Hamilton and Elder E. L. “Buck” Wood will officiate with burial to follow in Wayside Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Larry Hall, Don Tawzer, Carl Tawzer, Josh Alley, Shane Tawzer, Johnny Tawzer, Stephen Williford and Mike Williams will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmie Norman, Jerry Wade Hobbs, Ray Crawley, Tubby Tawzer, Tommy Mullis and Roger Jones. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hall was born on October 26, 1936 in Worth County and was the son of Eldon Lee Hall and Rebecca Hobbs Hall, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Hall. He attended Worth County schools and was retired from Tifton Aluminum Company after 32 years. He was a member of Wayside Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruth Tawzer Hall of Tawzerville; one son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Shea Hall of Tifton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Ralph Stracke of Tifton, Lucille and Arlie Roberts of Gray and Marjorie and Wayne Miller of Leesburg; and two grandchildren, Leigh and Jake Hall, both of Tifton.
