WORCESTER-Mary A. (Conlan) Murphy, 94, of Worcester, died Sunday, September 25th in St. Mary Health Care Center. Her husband, Joseph S. Murphy, died in 1984. She leaves a brother, John J. Conlan and his wife Judith of Bath, ME; a granddaughter, Katherine Murphy of Worcester; a great granddaughter, Meagan G. Murphy of Worcester; a niece, Suzanne Murphy; two nephews, Roger and Peter Murphy. Her son, J. Kevin Murphy died in 1992. She was predeceased by a brother, Patrick M. Conlan and five sisters, Katherine J., Martha J., Aileen R., Margaret L., and Alice M. Conlan.
She was born in Lowell, the daughter of John J. and Catherine L. (McGoohan) Conlan and attended Ascension High School. Mrs. Murphy was a secretary at Conlan’s Lunch for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.
Mary’s family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of St. Mary Health Care Center for the superb care they provided.
The funeral is Thursday, September 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A visiting hour is from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
