Mrs. Sylvia (Berry) McLaughlin, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 22 in Morton Hospital. She was born 74 years ago in Deadwood, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Webb) Berry. She was educated in South Dakota and had been a Taunton resident for the past 40 years. Mrs. McLaughlin enjoyed reading, knitting, her activities and friends at the Arbors, and spending time and sharing meals with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: Edward McLaughlin of Taunton; 5 daughters: Karen Andrade of Taunton, Judy Levesque of East Taunton, Debbie Hebert of North Dighton, Janice McLaughlin of Taunton, and Patty Ryan of Taunton; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, September 27 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
