Joseph J. Lepordo Jr., 50 of Somerville died Tuesday after a long illness in the Beth Israel Deaconess Med. Center Boston, MA.
Born in Watertown, he is the cherished son of Joseph and Doris (Marshall) Lepordo Sr.
Mr. Lepordo was a life long resident of Somerville and a 1971 Somerville High Graduate. Joseph was a Manager, for Signature Flight Support at Logan Airport for 7 years. He also was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Office for 23 years and was a veteran of Vietnam and Gulf Wars. During his career he was on P3 Orino Sub Chasers and was very highly decorated.
Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (Duplissa). Devoted father of Renee Lepordo of Flordia, Carmine Duplissa and Joseph J. Lepordo III of Somerville. Loving grandfather of Alana Ruiz of Florida. Cherished son of Doris (Marshall) and Joseph J. Lepordo Sr. of Somerville. Brother of Barbara Morani of Somerville, Anthony J. Lepordo of Chelsea, and the late James Marshall. Aslo survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
