Mrs. Anne Marie (Leger) Sharpe, of Marshfield, died Friday, September 23rd in her home in Marshfield surrounded by her family. She was 66. Anne Marie was born on August 2nd 1945 in Newton, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Gerard H. and Marie Sarah (Richard) Leger. She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1963. Soon after, she moved to Hingham where she lived for 20 years before moving to Marshfield in 1988. She worked in the banking industry for many years. Anne Marie will long be remembered as a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her heart and home were always open to those who needed her. Sometimes it was for a hug and a loving conversation or sometimes it was giving food to someone in need of a home cooked meal. She never hesitated to make all sorts of donations to those in need. In her spare time, she would enjoy traveling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, creating homemade cards, crafting, reading & spending time with her loved ones.
She leaves her husband, Allen Sharpe of Marshfield, her daughter, Jennifer Gacicia and her husband, Gary, her son Jamie Boudreau and his wife, Stephanie, her step-son Allen and his wife, Jill, and their children Daisy, Lilly and Benjamin, her brother Richard Leger and his wife, Mary Bell, Sister-in-law Nancy Shape, niece Sara Jane Hamrick and her husband, Brian, her nephew Harrison Leger and many beloved cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anne Marie's life by gathering for visiting hours at The MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte.139), Marshfield on Friday, September 30th from 4 to 8 p.m.
A service will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on the morning of Saturday October 1st before leaving in procession to Couch Cemetery on the west side of Union Street, across from Oak St. in Marshfield for her interment.
