Robert F.(Bobski) Lenz, 84, of Manchester, died September 22, 2011, following a sudden illness. He was born in Manchester July 23, 1927 to Maxwell and Anna (Sullivan) Lenz.
He served with the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway during World War II. Bob was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. For many years Bob worked for the city of Manchester as a horticulturalist. Over the years Bob grew fond of Gorham NH and adopted it as his second home. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, following the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. Bob will be remembered for his generosity towards the Jimmy Fund, his kindness to others, and his gentle demeanor.
He leaves behind his best friends Don and Linda Blanchette.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Elm St. Manchester.
Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St extension, Manchester. 03103.
