Sandra Darlene Carr, 61, of Tifton died Friday, September 23, 2011, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Ronnie Vice will officiate with burial to be held at 5:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Columbus. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Miss Carr was born on May 11, 1950 in Tift County and was the daughter of Anna Pauline Carr Ledford Burns of Tifton and the late James Alvin Carr. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, James Robert Burns; one sister; and one brother. She was retired from the City of Tifton and enjoyed working with the staff at Tifton City Hall. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tifton. Her family appreciates the kindness that Diversified Enterprises always showed to Miss Carr.
In addition to her mother, Miss Carr is survived by two brothers, James Richard Carr of Tallahassee, Florida and Paul Robert Burns of Nashville, Tennessee; and an aunt, Margaret Clements of Tifton.
