TEWKSBURY - Jean (Carbo) Green, age 71, a Tewksbury resident for the past 35 years, died Wednesday evening, September 21, at her home following a courageous six year fight with cancer.
She was born in Cambridge, January 28, 1940, one of three daughters of the late Harold and Mary (Hennessey) Carbo. She was raised in Cambridge, and lived in Barnstead, NH, before moving her family to Tewksbury in 1977.
Mrs. Green was proud to have been a "stay home" mom, and devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by four children, Linda Beausoleil and her husband Michael of Dracut, Robert J. Green and his wife Lynda (Beaulieu) of Salem, NH, James M. Green and his fiance, Lois DaPonte of Lawrence, Marianne Nichols and her husband Stephen, with whom she resided in Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Monica, Jacqueline, and Joseph Beausoleil, Camden, Shaylyn, and Taylor Green; her former husband, George H. Green; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late George H. Green IV who died in March; grandmother of the late Michael Beausoleil, and sister of the late Millie Lander, and Frances O'Keefe.
Her funeral service was held on Sunday, September 25, in the funeral home. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West - Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-7226 will be appreciated.
