Joseph A.N. Morin, 82, of 124 Old Worcester Rd., passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in U.Mass Hospital, University Campus in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of nearly 61 years; Dorothy L. (Barnes) Morin, three sons; David A.Morin and his wife Debra A., Bruce N. Morin, and Glenn A. Morin and his wife Donna, all of Charlton.
He also leaves 7 grandchildren; Renee, Jarrod, Nicholas, Justin, Melissa, Lance and Amber and 9 great grandchildren; Brianna, Cameron, Nathan, Tyler, Christina, Ryan, Alyssa, Zachary, and Gabriel.
Mr. Morin was born in Southbridge, a son of Arthur and Belva (Lapierre) Morin and has lived in Charlton since 1950.
He was predeceased by 2 brothers; Arthur and Ernest, and 3 sisters; Aurora, Irene and Jeannette.
Mr. Morin was a licensed plumber, gas fitter and carpenter and was self employed. He also served in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan.
He and his wife enjoyed travelling, especially on cruises. He was always happiest when he was surrounded by his loving family.
He and his wife would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Friday, September 23.
The Funeral will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 with a Service at 12 noon in the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral home, 175 Old Worcester Rd. Burial with Military Honors will follow in West Ridge Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the service.
