Nancy R. Paterna, 90 of Somerville, died Monday after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, she lived in Somerville for the past 61 years and formerly of the West End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Concetta (Morello) and Dominico Passanesi.
Nancy was a Stitcher for 51 years in the Boston Garment District and retired in 1986.
Beloved wife of the late Emilio Paterna. Devoted mother of Salvatore Paterna and his wife Susan of Boynton Beach, Fl. Loving grandmother of Maria Perry and her husband Scott of Windham, NH, Andrea Merenda and her husband Roy of Amherst, NH, Nancy Breton and her husband Michael of Hopkinton, Lisa Greenle and her husband Michael of Hudson, NH. Loving great grandmother of Lisa and Patrick Breton, Andrew and Sophia Merenda, Zachary Perry, Isabella and Makayla Greenle. Sister of Margaret DiMare of Somerville, Josephine Catarius of Easton and the late Lucille DeTore, Joseph, Anthony and Frank Passanesi.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
