Father of Diane Martin and her husband Richard of Wareham, Gregory Sabine of Brockton, Marc Sabine and his wife Cindy of Bridgewater, Peggy Sabine of Easthampton and Jennifer Stinchfieldand her husband William of Plympton.
Funeral Services in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 10 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob’s memory may be made to The American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St.,Framingham, MA 01701-4680.
Mr. Sabine died Tuesday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Brockton, son of the late Ernest C. and Jennie (Allen) Sabine. Lived most of his life in Brockton with the exception of 12 years in Bridgewater. Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1938. During WW II he served in the Army Air Corps stationed with the 392nd Bombardment Squadron in the Pacific Theatre.
He retired as a machinist from Grant Gear Co. in Norwood after many years and previously he worked at Boston Gear Works in Quincy. He was an avid golfer and bowled with teams at Viking Lanes. He was a passionate reader constantly learning. He enjoyed working around his home. He was the husband of the late Virginia M.(Fuller) Sabine
Survived by three daughters, Diane Martin of Wareham, Peggy Sabine of Easthampton and Jennifer Stinchfield of Plympton. Two sons, Gregory Sabine of Brockton and Marc Sabine of Bridgewater 14 Grandchildren and a predeceased grandson 6 Great Grandchildren Brother of Marilyn Campbell of Marshfield Half Brother of Ernest Sabine of Arlington, MA Half Sister of Velzora Sabine of California Many nieces and nephews Father of the late Robert Sabine
