Stone, Sylvia P. (Averback), 89 of Swampscott passed away on September 19, 2011 at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center. Sylvia was born and raised in Brookline. She attended the Brookline public schools and was a graduate of Brookline High School. Sylvia was also a graduate of Mt. Ida Jr. College.
Sylvia was the beloved wife of the late Harold (Mickey) Stone. She was the devoted mother of Linda Klickstein and her husband Barry and Jerry Stone and his wife Robin. She was the dear sister of Pearlia Palmer and Norma Herscott. She was the loving grandmother of Stacy, Bryan, Andrew and Matthew. She was also the devoted great grandmother of Oscar and Eli.
Graveside services will be held at the Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lakeshore Rd. Lynn on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Linda and Barry Klickstein following the interment until 8:00 PM. Donations in Sylvia’s memory may be made to the Jewish Rehabilitation Center, 330 Paradise Rd. Swampscott, MA 01907.
