WORCESTER-Vincent Bush, Jr., 71, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 14th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Henrean Burrell; his son, David Harris of New Orleans; five daughters, Cheryl Ducros of New Orleans, Shenita Brown of South Carolina, Rochelle and Danelle Perry both of Worcester and Cherelle Perry of Hampton, VA; six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, many nephews and nieces, including, Beverley LaBeaud, Lynette Red, Tyrone, Lawrence and Leroy Mosley, and many grand-nephews and grand-nieces . His brother Byron Bryant and three sisters, Joyce B. Reese, Shirley B. Mosley and Evelyn Brown; and a grandson Joseph Ducros predeceased him.
He was born in New Orleans, LA the son of Vincent Bush, Sr. and Pozetta (Dauphine) Williams Bush. Mr. Bush had worked as a case manager assistant for the Henry Willis Community Center, Channing House. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, served as Vice-president of the Usher Board, and sang in its Senior Choir as well as the Brotherhood.
The funeral is Thursday, September 22nd with a service at Noon in the Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service in the church. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
