Obituary

Clarence J. Collette, 88, of Salem, NH, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem. Mr. Collette was born in Hampstead, NH on March 12, 1915, a son of the late Joseph and Leah (Fontaine) Collette. Before moving to Salem, he was a lifelong resident of Hampstead. Mr. Collette was a US Army World War II veteran. He was employed by Bolton Emerson as a machine grinder for over 35 years. He was a member of Holy Angels Church in Plaistow, NH and St. Anne's Church in Hampstead. He was also a member of the Senior Center in Hampstead. He enjoyed watching sports on TV especially baseball and football and playing cards.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. He was predeceased by wife Gertrude H. (Merrow) Collette in 1994.

There are no calling hours, following cremation, graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00am in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main Street, Salem. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. NH is handling the arrangements.
