Miller, John B. “Uncle Jack” age 90 of New Milford died on Saturday, September 17, 2011. Mr. Miller was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Clayton and Loretta Miller. Cherished brother to the late Maxine (Miller) Kiley of New Milford and the late William F. Miller of Vermont. Beloved uncle to Maxine (Kiley) Elving and the late Marc Elving of Wayne, James and Jane Kiley of Edinboro, PA and William Miller of Newburgh Park, CA. Beloved great uncle to James and Ellen Kiley, Eileen (Kiley) Novak, the late Scott Elving, Sean Kiley and Tracey Elving. Loving great-great uncle to Jack and Jimmy Kiley. Best pal to Bailey and Sammy. John was a Navigator for the 868th bomb squad in World War II, stationed in New Guinea, Southern Philippines. He received a WWII Victory Medal for his heroic efforts. Following the war he worked for United States Navigation in New York City. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A celebration of Jack’s life will take place at 10AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery.
