Clifford E. Drysdale, 85, of Hanson, passed away on Saturday September 17th surrounded by his family at home. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Downing) Drysdale.
He was born in Brockton, grew up in Houghs Neck in Quincy, son of the late George and Elsie (Augusta) Drysdale. He was a graduate of the Quincy Trade School.
Clifford has been a resident of Hanson for more then 50 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II for 17 years ending in Panama, on the US Marblehead Cruiser.
He worked for many years in the Graphic Arts trades, as a tool & die maker.
Clifford loved NASCAR and old cars.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryle Drysdale, Linda (Drysdale) Horn, his half brother Roger E. Drysdale: also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was also the companion of the late Jackie Cardarole and brother of the late, George H. and Russell L. Drysdale, Amy Putman and Catherine Walters.
His services will be held on Wednesday September 21st at 9:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM in the St. Joseph The Worker church, Maquan St. Hanson, MA. Burial will be in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday September 20th from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00PM.
