Annette Rushing Goodwin, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born in Water Valley, MS on May 27, 1927 to the late Earl and Lucy McCain Rushing. Annette was a retired seamstress for Big Yank Corporation. She was an active member of Camp Ground Baptist Church where she served as a member of the choir. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and taking care of her yard and flowers. Annette loved visiting the sick, the home-bound, and helping others. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as "Net".
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks with Bro. David Ross and Bro. Michael White officiating.
Annette is survived by two sons, Jimmie Goodwin (Kay) and Ricky Goodwin both of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Bertha McCullar (Roland) of Water Valley, MS; five grandchildren, Jason Goodwin, Melanie Goodwin White, Randy Goodwin, Darrel Daniels and Kimberly Bruce; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Goodwin; two sisters, Maxine Beard and Joan Gray and one brother, William Earl Rushing.
