Joseph P. Connors passed away on September 15, 2011. He was 80 years old.
A lifelong resident of Malden, Joseph graduated from Malden High School where he played football and basketball. He worked for 33 years for New England Telephone and AT&T as an installer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Irish American Club in Malden.
Joseph was the devoted husband of Marianne “Marion” (Marinelli) Connors. He was the beloved father of Paula Savage and her husband John of Middleton, James Connors and his wife Lisa of Clifton Park, NY and Jean Connors and her partner Sharon Gale of South Orleans. Joseph was the dear brother of Betty Zurka and the late James Connors, Bill Connors and Marie Britton and the cherished grandfather of John,Jimmy and Jenna Savage, Ryan and Kristen Connors and Olivia Connors-Gale.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, September 19th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Chuch, 297 Main Street, Malden at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 18th from 2-5 p.m. Interment will be private.
