Charlton - Denise M. (Nawn) Sax, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. She leaves her husband of almost 26 years, Alan R. Sax; her mother, Claire B. (Sohlman) Nawn; 3 brothers, Dennis R. Nawn of Charlton, William J. Nawn III of WA, and Stephen P. Nawn of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews & nieces. She also leaves her beloved Siberian Husky, Nash.
Denise was born in Holden, daughter of the late William J. Nawn, Jr., and was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. She worked at Hanover Insurance Co. She loved animals, fishing, and camping. Denise belonged to the Norco Sportsman's Club and the Massachusetts Beach Buggy Assn. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved flower and vegetable gardening, and sunsets at Race Point.
Calling hours will be held Monday, Sept. 19, from 4-7 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
