Jane Ann Donlon, 62

Jane Ann (Bruce) Donlon, 62, of Mansfield, formerly of Stoughton and Dorchester, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday September 14, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Stephen J. Donlon, III, to whom she was wed for the past 44 years.
Born in Dorchester, MA on July 1, 1949, she was a dear daughter of the late Dennis and Jane (McCue) Bruce.
Jane Ann grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston. She was educated in Dorchester parochial schools and was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 26 years she had formerly made her home in Stoughton for 11 years., Mrs. Donlon was a self employed bookkeeper and for over 25 years was the owner of JAD Financial Services.
Jane Ann’s hobbies included sewing, crafts and bowling. She loved spending time with her adoring family, decorating and entertaining on the holidays ,and will always be remembered for the kindness she extended to animals, especially dogs.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children; Stephen J. Donlon, IV and his wife Traci Lee of Ashland and Nicole V. Slavin and her husband Peter of Mansfield. The sister of Marguerite “Peg” Kelly of Marshfield, Maureen Hines of Canton, Harold Bruce of Newfoundland, Veronica Jones of Washington State and the late Dennis Bruce, Carl Bruce and Gerard Bruce, Mrs. Donlon is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; William Slavin, Emily Slavin and Sarah Jane Donlon, as well as many nieces and nephews including her niece and best friend Terri Corliss of Foxboro, and her mother in law Mary Donlon of Stoughton.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday September 18th from 3:00-5:30 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 5:30 P.M. on Sunday at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Jane Ann’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Mansfield Shelter Friends, P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048.
