DOE, Bernadette (Kennedy), of Stoneham at age 72. On September 13th, 2011 we lost our Bernadette. Sixty three years ago, our father paid a quarter to take her on the roller coaster just so he could put his arm around her. There began a love story which included 52 years of marriage, 11 children, 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was beautiful, kind, generous, forgiving of spirit and a mother to everyone. Like her 7 sisters, "The Kennedy Girls" she walked through life with a quiet strength and dignity. Grafton, Theresa Ashton and her husband Arthur, Bernadette Doe all of Stoneham, Loriann Cohen and her husband Robert, Kathleen Daley and her husband Brian, Steven Doe and his wife Christine all of Chelmsford and the late James Doe of Tewksbury. Loving grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of two. Dear sister of Ellen Gay and her husband William, Patricia Gover and her husband Robert, Joan Davis and her husband Charlie and the late Mary Hobin, Winnie O’Leary, Marguerite DiPietro and Ann Maguire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Bernadette’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family Friday 4-8pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants will be available.
