Gustave J. Saintiche, age 66, of Brockton, died Saturday September 10, 2011 at St. Joseph Manor following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mireille (Douyon) Saintiche. Born and raised in Haiti, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sylverine (Valme) Saintiche. Gustave had been employed as an Accountant in Haiti prior to moving to Ottawa, Canada in 1973, and had been a resident of Brockton since 1988. For the past 26 years he had been employed at Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare as an Accountant. Gustave strongly believed in education and strived to have his children and others continue their education. As well as receiving his Bachelors Degree in Haiti, he also attended Boston Business School. He was a longtime member of New England Baptist Church in West Bridgewater, enjoyed time spent with his family, gardening and landscaping, cookouts and listening to Gospel music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Gusty, Bernard and Jerry Saintiche all of Brockton; two brothers Kingston Gerard and Gerard Saintiche both of Florida, a sister Marie Simeon of Virginia, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the New England Baptist Church, 560 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 Saturday, September 17, from 9 to 9:45am followed by a Funeral Service at 9:45am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
