She was a beautiful, loving person who cared for everyone. Her positivity was unsurpassed; she always saw the best in everyone and everything. Joy radiated from her, and being in her presence filled one s soul. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and artistic talent. Always trying new ventures, which were always successful. Offering the first personal concierge services to the Lakes Region, became a very successful realtor, and starting a real estate photography and marketing service, ReelView3D. The business was the first to offer 3D Virtual Tours and Virtual Staging to the Lakes Region, which is now standard in today s real estate market. As the disease progressed, supplemental oxygen was required, and she could no longer continue the ReelView3D business. Always with such strength, courage, and determination, she wouldn t let the disease restrict her from her passion photography. She, instead, turned her lens to nature. Always driving through the Lakes Region, capturing its beauty: scenic landscapes, mountain vistas, colored morning skies and sunsets, animals, and flowers. Her favorites were loons and eagles. The incredible shots collected were sold at a couple of locations. She got such joy every time a piece would sell. Jackie loved to decorate, always looking for a property to renovate and transform into a showcase home. She renovated many properties in the Lakes Region and Lincoln, NH, always surpassing the trending market values when sold. Jackie was naturally athletic; she was an avid skier  snow and water, tennis, cycling, swimming, and snowmobiling. She always loved boating  sitting on the bow with the wind and sun in her face, taking in the beauty of the Lakes Region. Her family and friends meant everything to her; she was tight with all of them and connected with them daily. Her laugh was contagious and pure, with joy always in the forefront with family and friends. Her husband, Mark, was her true soulmate, a devotion to one another you rarely see. Forty-one years of marriage, and they always felt like newlyweds. Beverly was born in Hartford, CT, on April 4, 1936, to the late Evelyn Levensaler Phipps and Raymond  Terry Phipps, and grew up in both CT and Waldoboro, ME. She grew up in Waldoboro with her cousins David and Sylvia and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, Maine in 1954. After high school, Bev continued her education at the Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in Portland, Maine where she earned her R.N. designation. Bev spent her 48-year career as a nurse caring for others, in all areas of the field. Most notably in NH, she worked for Concord Visiting Nurses, then as a school nurse for Bow Elementary. She concluded her nursing career in 2005 after working 20+ years at Concord Obstetrics and Gynecology. Outside of work and enjoying her friends and family, especially being Nana to her grandchildren, Bev enjoyed taking care of her extensive flower gardens, which delighted neighbors and passersby. She also enjoyed reading and loved music, especially show tunes and piano concertos. She took pleasure in traveling including trips to Europe, Alaska and throughout the U.S. seeing the sights and visiting friends and family. Robert, Bob, Uncle Bobby no matter what name you knew him by, you knew he was a character! He always found a way to inject humor into his conversations with you. Occasionally, you d hear him get a bit scrappy if things didn t go his way, but that didn t last long. He was a huge fan of his hometown sports teams: the Packers, the Bucks, and the 2026 NLCS Champion Milwaukee Brewers! In his prime, he was quite a rockstar, attending many concerts. In fact, he would have made a great radio DJ if ever given the chance. Robert, along with Wally, were fortunate to travel extensively around the world. Bob loved sharing his vacation stories and always was planning his next adventure. Uncle Bobby truly loved listening to music, watching his teams play, and staying in touch with his many loved ones. It was also well-known that he enjoyed having a nice, relaxing, mellow time now and again. Despite overcoming many health scares over his 64 years on this earth, unfortunately, his body had finally had enough. He was affectionately known as Jon, Big Jon, or Jonny. Jonathan was born in Manchester, NH, on August 18, 1973, to Steven and Nancy (Lautenberger) Magdziasz. Jon grew up in Bedford, NH, enjoying an amazing childhood filled with surfing, skiing, skateboarding, BMX biking, and playing sports with his older brother, Jeff, and neighborhood friends. His strong work ethic began at a young age, and he was able to buy his first car at just 15 years old. He often spent time at his grandparents cottages on Paugus Bay, one of which was affectionately nicknamed  Bay s End. Jon graduated from West High School in Manchester in 1991. The summer after graduation, he grew an astonishing six inches, reaching an impressive height of 6 10 . He went on to attend both Plymouth State College and the University of New Hampshire. After college, he worked as a bouncer and bartender at various bars in Manchester, where he befriended the up-and-coming band Godsmack. Jon loved sharing stories about the band and remained a devoted fan until the very end, even encouraging his nurses to give their music a listen. Jon went on to build a 33-year career with the United States Postal Service, working as a letter carrier, supervisor, and postmaster. He was loved by the customers on his route and respected and appreciated by his fellow letter carriers. Jon took great pride in his work and made it a priority to ensure his customers felt cared for. He never left until his route was complete. The lake always called Jon back. In the summer of 2003, while out boating, he met the love of his life, Portia, who was working as a beach bar waitress at the Naswa. Jon insisted on sitting in her section every weekend, and their love story began. They were married in July 2007 on a gorgeous summer day at  Bay s End. They began their life together in Manchester, where they renovated their first home with the help of family and friends. Jon was a mailman, and Portia was a teacher. Their family began to grow in 2009 when they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Natalee, followed by their handsome son, Henry, in 2011. Jon became what he was always meant to be: a loving, involved, protective, supportive, and amazing father. In the spring of 2012, the lake called Jon and his growing family back, and they settled in Gilford. Jon loved all New England sports, but his favorite games were always the ones his children played in. He could be found coaching youth sports throughout the seasons, from baseball and basketball to hockey and soccer, and proudly cheering from the sidelines at volleyball games. He was the king of Fantasy Football and looked forward to hosting a draft party each year. Jon was a man of many hobbies and projects. He was always working on cars, fixing up boats or snowmobiles, tackling projects around the house, or simply enjoying time on the dock with his family. Whether he was working on a project or relaxing by the lake, Jon was happiest when he had something to do and the people he loved nearby. Jon was a lovable big guy with a witty sense of humor. He was larger than life, with an even bigger heart. He always looked out for those around him, whether it was someone in need of assistance along his mail route, a tiny dog being offered up  free, or a stranded boat in the middle of the lake. Jon never hesitated to stop and help. He had a special place in his heart for the underdogs and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed one. That was simply who Jon was. He was born with a generous heart, a willingness to help others, and a love for the people and world around him. His larger-than-life presence, quick wit, unwavering devotion to his family, and kindness toward others made him truly one of a kind. He will be remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. Born on April 28, 1935, in Tilton, New Hampshire, to parents Guy Matott and Lura Sawyer, Marilyn grew up in Tilton alongside her siblings, Dorothy, Jo Anne, Judy, Andy, Katherine, and Edward. Marilyn met the love of her life, Roland Bousquet, Sr., at a school dance at age 15, fitting for a couple who would spend so many years dancing together. Roland used to take the train from Laconia to Tilton to see her while they were dating. They married in 1951 and made their home on Elm Street in Laconia, where they raised their five children, Linda, Cindy, Dawna, Debbie, and Roland, Jr. Together, they built a life centered around family, hard work, and, of course, a whole lot of fun. Marilyn and Roland founded and operated Captain Bob s Fish Market in Laconia. It was a true family business, with their children and eventually some of their grandchildren pitching in over the years. Marilyn could debone and fillet a fish better and faster than just about anyone, and Captain Bob s became both a familiar local spot and an important part of the Bousquet family story. Marilyn was the quintessential matriarch and the glue that held the Bousquet family together. She was a straight shooter, speaking her mind and always giving an honest opinion about exactly what she thought. Generations of family knew they could come to her with anything, including the harder parts of life, and find someone who would listen without judgment while still offering a word of wisdom. Marilyn loved having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren pop over to visit and hearing about their lives. Not easily shocked and never one to shy away from much, she was strong-willed and resilient, with a great sense of humor and a wisdom that made people naturally turn to her for advice. A die-hard Red Sox fan, Marilyn loved watching the games and spending time in the garage with family, where card games, laughter, stories, and endless puzzles were a regular occurrence. Always ready to have a good time, Marilyn also seemed to have luck on her side. She was often the first to win at the slots, loved a good game of blackjack, and even had a silverware collection at home from some of the casinos she enjoyed most. Some of the happiest memories were of Marilyn and Roland dancing together. Whether swing dancing to Frank Sinatra or simply enjoying a night out, Marilyn could certainly liven up the dance floor. At Christmas, her famous tourtière pies were something the entire family looked forward to, made year after year with Roland especially in mind. It was often the simple things Marilyn loved most: family traditions, laughter, watching the Red Sox, sitting around playing cards, working on a puzzle, or enjoying a cocktail with family and friends at the lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee. Such seemingly ordinary moments became precious memories that generations of the Bousquet family will cherish forever. Marilyn leaves behind her five children: Linda Bousquet; Cindy Benton; Dawna Bousquet and her husband, Ray Ozzie; Debbie Blixt; and Roland Bousquet Jr. and his wife, Kathy Bousquet. She also leaves behind her ten grandchildren: Michelle Newquist, Janelle Martinez, Eric Shute, Christine Robbs, Lura Shute, Neil Ozzie, Jill Ozzie, Barry Blixt, Jaclyn Bousquet, and Julia Bousquet; as well as many great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Marilyn was predeceased in 2013 by her beloved husband, Roland. She will be laid to rest with Roland in a private burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Though her diagnosis came suddenly, she will be remembered for the life she built, the love she shared, and the creativity and warmth she brought to those around her. Mary Lou was born on October 4, 1950, at Salem Hospital to the late Anne and George Kearns. She grew up in Marblehead, MA, alongside her beloved older sister, Anne Marie Rumpf, who still resides in Marblehead. The sisters shared a lifelong, deeply cherished bond, and no matter where life took them, their daily conversations remained a treasured part of their lives and a testament to the love and closeness they shared. Some of Mary Lou s fondest memories were rooted in her childhood and the years she spent in Marblehead, especially the times spent at Devereux Beach and the Boston Yacht Club, places that held a special place in her heart. These familiar shores and treasured memories were part of the foundation of a lifetime of love, laughter, and family connections that she carried with her always. She attended Star of the Sea Elementary School in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School in 1968. She earned her associate degree from North Shore Community College in 1970. Mary Lou met the love of her life, James  Jamie John, while in college during College Week in Bermuda. From that moment on, the two were nearly inseparable throughout 52 years of marriage, building a life together filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Their shared love of travel took them to many wonderful places throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Whether exploring somewhere new or simply enjoying time together at home, they treasured the life they built and the memories they created. A devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her family, Mary Lou was a constant presence in her children s lives, rarely missing an opportunity to support their interests and celebrate their accomplishments. When Lyvie and Peter attended Gilford Elementary School, she wholeheartedly embraced her role as a room parent, generously giving her time and energy to their classrooms and school community. She loved being involved and finding ways to make their school years special. Her dedication continued as she supported their adult activities, celebrated their milestones, and cherished the everyday moments. One of Mary Lou s most cherished roles was being  Bestie to her beloved four-year-old grandson, Lawton, who brought immeasurable joy and love into her life. She treasured the special bond they shared and delighted in spending time with him, especially reading stories together. Those quiet moments, turning pages and bringing stories to life, were among her favorite ways to connect with him. Being his grandmother gave her another wonderful chapter of love, laughter, and precious memories that she held close to her heart. Mary Lou had a special gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. She loved hosting dinner parties for family and friends, turning an evening around the table into a memorable occasion filled with delicious food, lively conversation, and laughter. She took great pleasure in creating a warm and inviting home where the people she loved could gather and enjoy one another s company. Her curious mind and wide range of interests kept her engaged and inspired throughout her life. She enjoyed practicing her fluent French, taking particular delight in perfecting her accent and embracing the language with enthusiasm and flair. She also had a deep interest in genealogy, spending time exploring her family s history and tracing the connections that linked generations together. Art was Mary Lou s greatest talent and one of her greatest passions. An accomplished artist, she specialized primarily in watercolor and earned numerous awards for her work. Her paintings are exhibited throughout the Lakes Region, where her artistic talent and eye for beauty were appreciated by many. She generously shared her passion by teaching art classes through Laconia Adult Education and the Gilford Public Library and remained actively involved with the Laconia Artists Association, Larry Frates Creates, and the Opechee Garden Club. She also supported causes close to her heart, donating her artwork each year to the Lighthouse Bay Lights the Way event in Bonita Springs, Florida. Each Christmas, she created her own original holiday cards, a cherished personal tradition that allowed her to share her creativity with family and friends. Through her paintings, teaching, generosity, and thoughtful creations, Mary Lou leaves behind a lasting artistic legacy throughout the communities she loved. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband, James John; her daughter, Lyvie (John) Beyrent, and her partner, Chip Steward; her son, Peter John, his wife, Tara John, and their son, Lawton, all of Gilford; her sister, Anne Marie Rumpf, of Marblehead, MA; and her brother-in-law, Gregory John, and his partner, Lisa Shaheen, of Boston, MA. The John family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and staff at Concord Hospital-Laconia; the first responders of Gilford Fire and Rescue; and the caregivers and staff at the Concord Payson Center and the Belknap County Nursing Home. Their kindness, dedication, and personal care during Mary Lou s brief illness meant so much to her and her family.
