He enjoyed trips to Ireland and Cape Cod. Christopher enjoyed fixing and creating items around the house. He was the original recycler. He spent hours gardening, winning several categories in Mayor Menino s Garden Contest which recognized the beautification of Boston. Born on April 17, 1923, in Cadelille Léogâne, Haiti, Aristhene was raised in a devout Christian household by his parents, Francois Arius and Renette Osirus. Under their loving guidance, he developed the strong principles and unwavering integrity that defined his entire life; he was truly a man of his word. As an entrepreneur, he partnered with his two brothers to build a successful family auto mechanic business. A dedicated man of faith, Aristhene spent more than 40 years serving as a deacon and treasurer at L Épiphanie Episcopal Church in Haiti. His passion for evangelism also led him to found the Saint John Evangelist Church in Carfou-feuille. He loved to share his faith through storytelling, frequently recounting the many beautiful ways God had directed his path, and his sharp wit and warm humor could always be counted on to bring laughter to any room. In his leisure time, he thoroughly enjoyed going to the movies, holding a special fondness for classic Westerns. Aristhene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Francine, on August 1, 2005. His rich legacy lives on through his large and loving family. He is survived by his two brothers, Josue and Ilvoit; his children, Jean, Judith, Marlene, Lionel, and Maude; his daughters-in-law, Darlene and Nadine; and his sons-in-law, Harold and Jean Fritzner; and his grandchildren, Jean Andre (III), Pierre Armand, Stephen, Guerdith, Julio, Herbie, Jerry, Arlene, Neldine, Francine, Nadeline, Kervine, and Ryan. Through her dedication and vision, she helped provide educational opportunities to many children in the Cottard community, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. As the eldest daughter of the late Pastor Franck MESIDOR, Marie Sophonie held a special place within her family. She was a woman of faith and a devoted servant of God, known for her dedication, willingness to serve, love for others, and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her. Marie Sophonie was a member of Eben-Ezer Maison de Prière in Haiti, where she also served as president of the church choir. Through her commitment to the church and her ministry through music, she expressed her love for God and encouraged others to remain strong in their faith. She was the beloved wife of Beaumaire Auguste, with whom she shared three children: Fedorah J. Auguste, Christopher S. Auguste, and Isadorah C. Auguste. In May 2012, Emma moved to Massachusetts, where she continued to build her life and made her home. She earned a bachelor s degree and worked as a school bus driver. Emma was a devoted Roman Catholic who deeply cherished her faith, family, and Haitian heritage. She was a member of the Mouvement Eucharistique des Jeunes (MEJ), and her involvement with the group was an important part of her faith and church community. Above all, Emma loved her family deeply. Her son, Spencer, was her pride and joy. She looked forward with great excitement to the day he would be old enough to begin daycare and reach that special milestone. Emma also had tremendous love for her nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she treasured every moment they shared. Emma loved traveling, cooking, going out, attending Carnival, and enjoying Haitian cultural celebrations and dances. She especially enjoyed traveling and creating beautiful memories with her best friend and longtime travel companion, Elizabeth Germain.
