BROWN, Joseph W., of Winthrop, July 2, 2011 after a brief illness at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Cecile P. (Cyr) Brown. Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Curtin) Brown. Devoted father of Bill Brown of Tewksbury, Linda Donahue of Winthrop, Helen Janielis of Peabody, and Kevin Brown and his wife Jacqui of New Hampshire. Companion of Norma Kent of Vermont. Also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Donahue, Brian Donahue, Emily Janielis, Michael Janielis and his wife Maria Pelletier, Steven, Christopher, Anthony, and Amelia Brown, and his great-grandchildren, Dylan, Sophia, Audrey, Michael and Jude. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, Ma on Thurs. July 7, at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10am.
