Obituary

Norman E. Blais 62, of 100 Front St. died Saturday at the Boston VA Hospital. He was the husband of Jeannette (LeBlanc) Blais. Born in Woonsocket he was a son of Therese (Ricard) Blais of N. Smithfield and the late Normand Blais. He was a stocker at Walmart in Woonsocket for five years before becoming disabled in 2008, he previously worked for General Motors for over nine years. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Norman was an avid fisherman.

Besides his wife and mother he leaves a son Kevin Blais of N. Smithfield, a daughter Karen Martel of Whitensville, MA, four brothers Dean Blais of N. Attleboro, Gary Blais of Gainesville, FL, Lee Blais and Alan Blais both of Woonsocket, a sister Jill Blais-Pignolet of Mapleville, and four grandchildren Kristen, and Courtney Martel, Sarah Lavoie, and Kasandra Blais.

A committal service and military honors will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home.
