Linda E. (Carr) Curtis

TEWKSBURY - Linda E. (Carr) Curtis, 69, a retired Town of Tewksbury employee, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, January 5, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell after a lengthy illness. She was born October 15, 1941, in Waltham, one of nine children of the late Richard and Nancy (Simms) Carr. She was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury.
She retired in 2002 from the Town of Tewksbury Auditor's Office after twenty five years of service as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed her summers in Rochester, N.H., the Boston Red Sox, casino visits in Connecticut, bingo, and scratch tickets.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Kelley Curtis-Francis and Jerry Francis of Knoxville, TN; a son Merton E. Curtis III of Arkansas; four grandchildren, Sophia Francis, Aniston Francis, Michelle Bell-Curtis, Angel Curtis; her brothers and sisters, Nancy Sullivan of Brunswick, ME, Richard and his wife Sandy Carr of Tewksbury, Charles and his wife Della Carr of Naples, FL, Kevin and his wife Valerie Carr of Lancaster TX, James and his wife Julie Carr of Epping, NH, Mary Lynne Kennedy and her husband Jeff of Largo FL, Thomas and his wife Shirley Carr of FL; many nieces and nephews; and friends in Tewksbury and Crown Pointe Campground..

She was also sister of the late Maureen McCready.

Her Funeral Service was held Monday, January 10, in the funeral home. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery.
