Janice (Pacheco) Phaneuf, 60, of New Bedford died Friday, December 10, 2010 at home after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph and Alexandrina (Carrelas) Pacheco, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Janice was a C.N.A. at Bedford Village Nursing Home. She was regarded as a generous person donating to multiple charities such as St. Jude, American Heart Assoc., ASPCA, and Covenant House to name a few. She lived and worked for her family. An avid gardener and animal lover, she enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends but most of all loved and cherished being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sons: Randall S. Phaneuf and his wife Teresa of New Bedford and Eric E. Phaneuf of New Bedford; a daughter: Brenda L. Phaneuf and her companion Kenneth Huston of New Bedford; 3 brothers: Roger Pacheco of FL. Thomas Pacheco and Michael Pacheco of MA; 3 grandchildren: R.J. Phaneuf, Ashtyn N. Phaneuf and Devon M. Maisonave; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Paul Pacheco, Charles Pacheco and Catherine Medeiros.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Kirby Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.
