Bradford C. "Brad" Brooks Obituary - Water Valley MS

Bradford C. "Brad" Brooks, age 45, of Water Valley, MS died Monday, November 1, 2010. He was born in Water Valley, MS on August 11, 1965 to Frank Berle Brooks and the late Patricia Chatman Brooks. Brad loved to cook and he was always cooking for church, school and sporting events. He was voted Outstanding Young Farmer of MS in 1996. He was an active member of the board of directors for Yalobusha County Farm Bureau as well as the Yalobusha County Agency for Soil and Water Conservation. Brad was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Water Valley on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:00AM with Dr. Randy Bain and Bro. Freddie Moorman officiating. Interment will be held at Sylva Rena Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeff Hodge, Charles McCullough, Doug Robbins, John Sherman, Baine Turnage, and Terry Rotenberry serving as pallbearers. Larry Wayne Kimzey, Kevin Kimzey, Chad Kimzey, Daryl Burney, Sam Garris, James Edwards, Coley Little Bailey, Ty Edwards, Bill Bailey, Jamie Allen and Gerald Rippee will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Brad is survived by one daughter, Laci Brasher (Greg) Buck of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Justin Andrew Brooks and Brandon Patrick Brooks both of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Angie Brooks Hodge of Water Valley, MS and Sherry Campbell of Enid, MS; his father, Frank Berle Brooks and his step-mother, Raye Brooks of Water Valley, MS; two grandchildren, Tyler Elaine Brasher and Carter O'neal Buck; and his former spouse, Luanne Brooks.

Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Chatman Brooks.
