Robert W. Churchill, of Palm Coast, age 90, passed away Sept. 15, 2010, after a sudden illness. Formerly of Needham, Mass., Mr. Churchill graduated from North Quincy High School in 1938. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp., 2nd Division during World War II in the South Pacific. A commercial artist by trade, he designed the MLB American League emblem. Bob was an avid gardener and loved fishing. His warm smile, firm handshake, and humorous stories will be missed by all.
Bob is survived by Eleanor (Malloy), his loving wife of 55 years; sons, Robert W. Churchill of Weymouth, Mass.,, Stephen Churchill and wife Jane of Scituate, Mass.; daughters, Mary McKillop and husband Jack of Weymouth, Susan Giacalone and husband Michael of Reading, Mass.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter.
