Sadie R. (Rojee) Curley, 88 passed away peacefully at her home in Rockledge, Florida July 10. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Curley who died in 1985.
Born in Medway, December 7, 1921 the daughter of the late Hickel and Nellie (Caron) Rojee, Mrs. Curley was raised in Medway and had lived in Milford from 1963 until moving to Florida in 1987.
A homemaker, Mrs. Curley enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps in 1943 and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Sadie dedicated her life to her children: Donna Forget and her husband Gerald of Rockledge, Florida, Dianne Johnson and her husband Robert of Uxbridge, Darlene Story and her husband Win of Gloucester and John Curley and his wife Lisa of Ipswich.
She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Lewis of Medway.
She was the sister of the late Madeline, Joseph, Elias, Nais,Frederick and Celia Rojee and Rose Cunningham and Julia O’Leary.
Mrs. Curley is also survived by her grandchildren, Julie Forget Schroeder, Jay Forget, Greg Forget, Timothy Johnson, Laura (Johnson) Hamburg, Jennifer (Johnson) Whitten, Erin Johnson, Diane Story, Roland Curley and Frank Curley, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 16 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
