Mr. Peter C. Messina, age 80 of Medford died Sunday in Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the husband of Evelyn (Maffucci) Messina with whom he shared more than 51 years of marriage. Mr. Messina was born in East Boston, son of the late Charles and Katina Messina. He was a plumber for many years, in recent years he worked for Tufts University. In earlier years he and his wife loved to attend dances. He was regularly regarded as an excellent cook and could be seen on occasion at Foxwoods. Mr. Messina was also a member of the Plumbers and Gas Fitters Union Local #12. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister Etta Ruggiero of Bedford NH. and is the beloved uncle of several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Alfonso Messina.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Friday at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
