Evelyn A. Leary, age 94, of Billerica formerly of Wilmington passed away Friday, March 26th, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Suslowicz with whom she shared thirty-one years of marriage. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late John J. and Alice A. (Canavan) Stevens.

Evelyn was raised in Medford where she attended public school. She was a retired real estate broker and worked for Bremis Realtors in Somerville for more than fifteen years. She has been a Billerica resident for the past four years and formerly lived in Wilmington for more than twenty years and was an active parishioner of St. Dorothy Church.

Evelyn was mostly devoted to her family and cherished spending time with them whenever she could. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling to Florida, California and Las Vegas or taking day trips with friends and family. She was also very artistic and enjoyed painting.

In addition to her late parents, She is predeceased by her fist husband, the late John F. Leary, three children, Evelyn Romano, John Leary and Frances Onorato, one sister, Gloria Bevilacqua, and brothers, David, Harold, Warren, and Ralph Stevens. She is survived by her children, Harold Leary Glennon of NH, Alice Bevilacqua of Billerica, and Thomas Leary of FL. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Gail Emery of Medford and Leonard Suslowicz of Arlington. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She also leaves two sisters, Muriel Gallagher of Fitchburg and Alice Keizer of NJ.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Monday, at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Evelyn’s memory to the to the Make A Wish Foundation of MA, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114.
