Ipswich, Dorothy E. (LeBlanc) Paradis, age 89, died suddenly at home in Ipswich, Thursday, March 25, 2010. Born and educated in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Marie (Gagnon) LeBlanc and the wife of the late Robert E. Paradis.
Mrs. Paradis, lived in Salem for 44 years, Beverly for 20 years and in Ipswich for the past 2 years. She was employed for 10 years at Sylvania and for many years by the Salem Old Fashion Candy Co., prior to her retirement.
She is survived by 3 sons, Paul R. and his wife Robin Paradis of Waldorf, MD, Roger E. and his wife Dorothy Paradis of Carnegie, PA and Jean A. Paradis of Ipswich, 2 daughters, Alice M. LeBlanc and Janet E. Spak and her husband Theodore all of Danvers, 2 brothers, Edward ‘Ray’ LeBlanc of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert ‘Jerry’ LeBlanc of Minter City, MI and a sister, May C. Pinault of Salem. She is the beloved grandmother of 15 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 23 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandmother of four. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 8 a.m. to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 a.m. Visiting hours: Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. Interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Ipswich.
