Alexandria------Jennie A. Rhodes, 82, of 119 Cass Mill Road died at Speare Memorial Hospital, Plymouth, on Saturday, February 13, 2010.
Mrs. Rhodes was born May 2, 1927 in Laconia the daughter of Albert P. and Grace M. (Crooker) Caruso. She lived in Laconia for many years and had been a resident of Alexandria for the past 8 years coming from Plymouth.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Edward P. Rhodes of Alexandria; a son Edward P. Rhodes, Jr. and his wife Andrea Maraska of Oceanside, Calif.; 3 daughters Susan Hoffman and her husband David of Buffalo Grove, Ill., Theresa Otis and her husband Robert of Meredith and Elaine Tucker and her husband Shane of Bristol; 11 grandchildren Dawn Gamble and her husband Allen, Phillip Hoffman, Elizabeth McDowell and her husband Ian, Caitlyn Hoffman, Sarah Otis, Melissa Otis, Jennifer Tucker, Matthew Otis, Shannon Tucker, Jr., Samuel Otis and Rebecca Otis; 2 great-grandchildren Wayne and Owen Gamble; two brothers Robert D. Caruso of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Stephen P. Caruso and his wife Suzanne of Gilford; two sisters Josephine Switzer of Belmont, NH and Loretta York of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law Irene Caruso of Laconia; many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers Albert P. Caruso, Jr. and Warren Caruso.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church 291 Union Ave. Laconia.
Spring Burial will be held in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
