WORCESTER - Mrs. Yolanda(Cosenza) Boucher, 93, formerly of Fairmont Ave. passed away Monday, January 11, at the St Mary Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her two sons, Harold J. Boucher and his wife Elsie Uffelmann of Worcester, Paul J. Boucher and his spouse Christopher S. Gage of Boston; three daughters, Darlene B. Paquette of Boxboro, Linda T. Boucher of Worcester, and Denise M. Phaneuf and her husband Stephen M. of Paxton; one brother, Raymond “Jim” Cosenza of Worcester; two sisters, Helen E. Browne of Florida, Mary C. Brewer of Grafton; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Yolanda was pre-deceased by her brothers, Natale, William, Joseph, and Albert, a sister, Genevieve Stavros and a grandson, Christopher J. Boucher.
She was born December 1, 1916 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Peter A. and Christine (Fuscaldo) Cosenza. She was the beloved wife of fifty years to the late Harold D. Boucher.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, she and her husband were early founders of Our Lady of Loreto Church. She was very involved in the church’s music ministry and the ladies guild.
Yolanda actively promoted the Miraculous Medal Association. She enjoyed being with her family and spending time in Florida and on Cape Cod.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday January 14th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME 9 Branch St Worcester, to be followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady Loreto Church at 12:30pm. Interment will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
