Jane Simpers Clark, 90 years of age, passed away on Christmas Day 2009 in Palm Harbor FL. A viewing will be at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) in Brockton MA on Wednesday December 30th from 4-6 pm. Graveside Service will be at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton, MA beside her husband Frank on December 31st at 11 am.
Jane was born February 9, 1919 in Chester County PA to William Thomas Simpers and Anna Pyle Simpers. She grew up in the Oxford, PA area, and graduated from Oxford High School in 1936. She graduated from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware and then worked at DuPont in Wilmington, before becoming the secretary to the Vice President in charge of engineering of operations at Delaware Power & Light for several years.
Jane met Francis “Frank” J. Clark during World War 2; they were married on May 9th 1946 in Wilmington DE. They were married for 48 years until Frank passed away on April 13, 1994. They had 3 children.
Jane was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson and also belonged to the JOY [Just Older Youths] Club. She was also a member of the Concordia Luncheon Club, and the Welcome Neighbors Club. Jane was a member and former president of the Newcomers Club of Jackson. She loved playing bridge and played regularly with several clubs.
Her husband Frank, two brothers: William and Donald Simpers of Oxford, PA, and 3 sisters: Dorothy Simpers of Wilmington DE, Betty DiFlilippo of Kennett Square, PA, and Ella Mae Richling Of Phoenix, AZ, preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 sons: Philip Clark of Moneta, VA and Jeffrey Clark of Oldsmar, FL, and a daughter, Linda Clark of Framingham, MA, along with 2 grandsons, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
