Joseph Anthony Carlino , a twenty – five year resident of Norton passed away on Thursday December 10, 2009 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was 70 years old and the beloved husband of Carole A. ( Dumaine ).
Born January 19, 1939 in New York he was a son to the late James Anthony Carlino and Florence ( Provenzona ) Carlino. He attended New York Public Schools and served his country in the United States Navy.
Mr. Carlino was employed as a Line Boss for the Setpoint Company in Mansfield, Massachusetts for many years.
Joe was a very dedicated and loving grandfather and had a passion for gardening.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Carolann Casagni and her husband Michael of Norton, Cathrine M. Fairbanks of Norton, Terry M. Foster and Tracey L. Wilding both of North Carolina, Jon Foster of Norton, Valerie Murphree of Worcester, Cynthia Foster of Attleboro, Elizabeth Dykens of California, William Foster of Southwick, MA, Andrew Foster of Norton, Mark Foster of North Attleboro and Jeanette Costa also of North Attleboro. He is also survived by his 32 grandchildren, 29 great – grandchildren and his six sisters, Marie Landi of TN, Theresa Allevato of FLA, Frances Barrett of TN, Carmela Chase of NY, Gracie Fisher of Milford, MA and Kathleen Wilbur of Falmouth,MA. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, John, Anthony and Sonny Carlino.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 15, 2009 from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
